The 3 stages of love:

Helen Fisher of Rutgers University in the States has proposed 3 stages of love: Lust, attraction and attachment. Each stage might be driven by different hormones and chemicals.

The Lust: Is the first stage of love and is driven by the sex hormones.

The Attraction: This is amazing time when you era truly love-struck and can think of little else. Scientists think that three main neurotransmitters are involved in this stage: adrenaline, dopamine and serotonin.

The Attachment: Is the bond that keeps couples together log anough for them to have and raise children.Scientits think there might be two major hormones involved in this feeling of attachment:oxytocin and vasopressin.

Functions of those hormones:

Adrenaline: Makes the heart beat stronger, the person start to sweat and her mouth goes dry. The adrenaline takes care of the homeostasis, that means that the adrenaline can regulates our emotions and our inner self as a whole.

Dopamine: People who are passionate have a big quantity of dopamine, that chemical have the same effect on the brain as taking cocaine.The person get excited easily and becomes addicted to wish her beloved.

Serotonin: Is the one of the most important chemicals in love, because this substance keeps the beloved in the person's mind.

Oxytocin: Is an important chemical, because is the one who is released during the orgasm, the female and the male orgasm.Makes that the couple feels closer than ever after sex, the teory says that more sex cause more proximity between the couple. That chemical makes the maternal love stronger too.

Vasopressin: Is another important hormone in the long-term commitment stage and is released after sex.

In the actuality, relationships are very difficult to keep. The right person is very difficult to find, and, with the time, the fights are very common and soon, the two are going to be lonely again.

The brain and the soccer

Now let's talk about the soccer, a national passion, connected with our behavior. Many researches has been done on the site www.g1.globo.com, and they say interesting things about soccer and the human brain. For example, how the penalty kick is studied by the scientists. Decisions: what should we do?

Now we're going to start talking about how we usually decide things.

A research made in Brazil in the site www.revistaepoca.com.br saids that half of the brazillian people make decisions based on the reason. The other half saids that the decisions are made by our emotion.

And more: even computers aren't good enough to make good decisions, because the brain is the most perfect "machine" of all the times.

Something curious about our brain is that the left-handeds thinks more with the right part of the brain, so they're more emotive. The right-handeds thinks more with the left part of the brain, and they're more reasonable.
