The brain and the soccer

Now let's talk about the soccer, a national passion, connected with our behavior. Many researches has been done on the site www.g1.globo.com, and they say interesting things about soccer and the human brain. For example, how the penalty kick is studied by the scientists. The goalkeeper usually picks a side to jump in the time of the penalty. But he doesn't know that it's a big mistake, because the better place to stay is in the center of the goal, just like the University of Negev, in Israel, has studied.

Other good topic for a discussion is the nods on the game. Some people in universities of Sweden says that it isn't prejudicial to the brain's heath, and others say that too much nods cause troubles in learn things, and less speed on the time of process things to the brain.

An analisys of the last three World Cups by the University of Salonika, Greece, showed that, more goals are made in the second half.
Dividing the game into six parts of 15 minutes, the researchers also discovered that the last sentence of between 30 and 45 minutes of second half is the most dangerous for the goalkeepers, because the analisys shows that over 20% of successful completions occurred that range.
According to the authors, the probability increases of goals at the end of the match because of physical deterioration, the tactics and poor concentration.

A last topic to talk about is how the moves of the goalkeeper influences the side that the player is going to kick the ball. That's because when, for example, the goalkeeper moves 6 or 10 centimetres for the right, the player,
unconsciously, kick the ball for left, because his brain thinks that is more space at the left side.

Our brain is a complicated machine. Even with a hundred of millions of years we're going to understand it completely. Our brain is the only perfect part of body.

Thank you for the attention. ;D
